Morgan Salén | Europe Guide

Hi, my name is Morgan Salén. I´m an internationally certified mountain guide and taking people to new, fun and exciting places in the mountains is what I do for a living. Originally from Sweden, I have spent a majority of my time in France or Norway guiding clients. I came to Chamonix, France for the first time in the autumn of 2007. I had been warned that “watch out so you don’t get stuck. It has happened to a lot of people.” Years later I still spend a big part of the year in this unique place. It is truly a special area!

The skiing and climbing you can reach by taking the lift up is just amazing. After a few years in Chamonix I entered the Swedish mountain guide program. Through lots of hard work and dedication, I passed the exam as the youngest swede to reach IFMGA status. The last few years I have been spending the springs up in Norway. Guiding skiing among the fjord landscape is just incredible. Every backcountry skier needs to experience this beautiful area. The first part of the winters and the bigger part of the summer are being spent in the Alps.

UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide of Alagna Ski Guides

Hi, I’m Andrea, and this is my little story.

I  was born in 1990 in Valsesia, a little valley in the northwest of Italy surrounded by mountains, rivers and forests and I now live in Alagna, one of the best place for freeride in the Alps. Thanks to my parents I started live my day in the nature immediately. Varicella, morbillo and then mountain sickness, these were my illnesses when I was a child.

Every free time was exploited to climb with friends the rocks near home, then the higher walls of the closest spot, until get to the fantastic walls of Madagascar and to the high mountains of Himalaya.

Freeride, ski touring , bouldering, ice climbing… There are too many thinks to do!

In 2016 I became a Mountain Guide and from that moment, when my passion has become also my profession, my daily mantra it to share the enthusiasm and the desire to look for good snow, great adventures and new places in the Alps with much more people possible.

Now I’ve to go, a new challenge awaits me: play Lego with my son.

Personal interests: climbing, freeride, ski touring, play the guitar.

See you soon!
